Get Your Drank On: LA Weekly’s Plate

It's baaaaa-aaaaaaack! LA Weekly's 5th annual Food & Wine Event is back AND with a new name, to boot - it's gone from the Gold Standard to simply "Plate."

Plate features a selection of over 40 restaurants curated by LA Weekly's Squid Ink Staff (beloved Jonathan Gold, alas, has moved onto the LA Times) including some of our fav Happy Hour stops like Border Grill and Tom Bergin's (though we must get back for their recent revamping!) and other awesome venues like the Oinkster, Wurstküche, Chichen Itza, Kogi BBQ, Phillippe's, Night Market and more.

Border Grill Margarita (okay, they'll be serving Border Grill's food, not drinks - but still - love this pic!)

Putting the "Wine" in "Food & Wine" event, LA's BUZZ Wine shop is curating a selection of over 30 top-shelf wineries, who will all be pouring their favorite vintages. And with sponsors like Stella, DineLA, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Voss Water, and Kinky Liquer (among other generous peeps) - there's certain to be some fun swag in the gift bags for VIP guests!

Plate will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 1-5pm at the Petersen Automotive Museum; this cool venue is reason enough to check it out! Tix are $75 for general admission and $95 for VIP. We know that's a little high for a Happy Hour budget, but if you've been wanting to try some of the best that LA dining has to offer - this is a good bet (and definitely cheaper than going to every restaurant individually :)! Plus, a portion of the proceeds benefit LA Food Bank = win-win.

JB and LA Weekly sittin' in a tree...
