No one does two-for-one like this Sunset shack. On any day of the week, from 4-8pm, you get two drinks for the price of one. Not only are the drinks huge, but you’re given both drinks at the same time. Cabo Cantina also has great deals on tacos, taquitos, nachos, etc. However, the deals are always changing, usually for the better, so one will have to see from them self on the next visit. Come early though! This place will get packed, especially on any holiday dedicated to drinking.
Even though there is a bar, it’s for the servers only. You must order from a server. They are always friendly, but with them serving such a large quantity of alcohol, it can sometimes take them a while to come back for another order. I guess they’re not used to people taking down drinks so fast or maybe they are just trying curb it.
The good and bad news about Cabo Cantina is that it is a complete sausage fest. This is bad news for the guys looking to meet girls, but also sometimes bad news for girls looking to meet guys. Cabo features many flat screen TVs playing different games at any given time. The guys are often more focused on the games, than anything else in the bar, even the drink specials. The only time we’ve met any guys there is when it’s a rep from some miscellaneous liquor company with free shots and swag or Jose Canseco (don’t ask).
There are now additional locations in West LA and Venice, but we’ve only had the pleasure of checking out at the West Hollywood location.
